How we work
Small steps, clear decisions, working software early.
You should never have to sign up for a big, vague project to find out whether software can help. Our engagement model is built so that each step earns the next.
The engagement model
-
Free
Process review
A conversation, in person or online, about one process that costs you time or money. We ask a lot of questions, look at how the work is done today and tell you honestly whether custom software is the right answer. Sometimes it is not, and we will say so.
You get: An honest view and a rough idea of scope.
-
Fixed scope
Discovery
A short, fixed-price piece of work where we map the process in detail, agree what the first version must do and design how it will work. You get a clear plan and a firm quote for the build before you commit to it.
You get: Process map, scope, screens and a fixed quote.
-
Phased
Build
We build in short phases, each ending with working software your team can use. You see progress every week or two, your feedback shapes the next phase, and you can pause between phases.
You get: Working software, rolled out and in use.
-
Ongoing
Support retainer
Once the system is live, a monthly retainer covers hosting, monitoring, backups, fixes and a set amount of improvement time, so the system keeps up as your business changes.
You get: A system that stays healthy and keeps improving.
How pricing works
We quote per project, after the free process review, because the cost depends on what the system needs to do. We do not publish a price list, as any number we put here would be wrong for most projects.
What we can tell you is how we keep it fair: discovery is a fixed price, the build is quoted per phase so you are never committed to more than the next step, and the support retainer is a flat monthly amount. All prices are in rand, and ongoing costs, including the software licence, are agreed in writing before the build starts, so there are no surprises.

Common questions
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on the scope, which is why discovery comes first. Because we build in phases, your team starts using the first working part of the system early, instead of waiting for everything to be finished.
Who owns the software and the data?
The software is licensed to your business, and the data in it is always yours. The licence terms are set out in writing before the build starts.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. Discovery is a single fixed-price piece of work, the build is agreed phase by phase, and the support retainer is month to month.
Can you work with our existing systems?
Usually, yes. Connecting to the accounting, CRM and other tools you already use is a normal part of our work. We will confirm what is possible during discovery.
Build what your business actually runs on.
Tell us what is slowing your business down. A free process review is a straight conversation about one process that costs you time. We will tell you honestly whether software can fix it, and roughly what that would involve.
