This policy explains how FOXSAKES collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use this website or contact us, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
FOXSAKES (“we”, “us”) is a business technology consultancy based in Tzaneen, Limpopo, South Africa. For the purposes of POPIA, we are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.

Our Information Officer is responsible for how we handle personal information and for responding to requests about it.

What personal information we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect:
- your name
- your company name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- your message about what is slowing your business down
- how you heard about us
- a record that you gave consent, and when
When you contact us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive whatever information you choose to send, along with your contact details on that channel.
When you browse this website, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. It gives us aggregated information such as page views, referring websites and general device type. Our hosting provider also processes technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the website and protect it from abuse.
We do not ask for special personal information (such as health, religious or biometric information) or information about children, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
Why we use it
We use your personal information only to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a process review or call
- prepare and send proposals or quotes that you have asked for
- keep a record of our communication with you
- understand, in aggregate, how people find and use our website so we can improve it
- keep the website secure
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a marketing mailing list without separate, specific consent.
Consent and the legal basis for processing
When you submit the contact form, you consent to us processing your information for the purposes above. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, which will not affect any processing that happened before you withdrew it. We may also process information where it is necessary to take steps you have asked for before entering into a contract, or where it is in our legitimate interest to keep our website secure, as allowed by section 11 of POPIA.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers (operators, in POPIA terms) to run this website and our business. They process personal information on our behalf and only for the purposes we set:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Transfers outside South Africa
Some of these providers store or process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that are subject to laws, binding agreements or corporate rules that give protection substantially similar to POPIA, as required by section 72 of POPIA.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for 12 months after our last contact with you, unless we enter into a working relationship, in which case it becomes part of our client records and is kept for as long as the law requires. After that, we delete it or anonymise it.
How we protect it
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and strong authentication on the accounts that hold your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to prevent loss, misuse or unauthorised access. If a security compromise affects your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless, so there is no cookie banner. If you change your colour theme preference, it is stored in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.
Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it
- ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date, excessive or unlawfully obtained
- object to the processing of your information
- withdraw your consent
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
